PACKAGE DURATION-3 NIGHTS 04 DAYS
Houseboats were originally built 60 years ago and are
constructed from Anjili wood and coir. There are 70
feet in lengt and 14 feet in width the capacity of 40
tones; they were used for transporting a variety of
goods, but mainly rice. So it was known as rice barge.
Now a days these boats are convered lounge cum dining
area, a spacious bedroom (with mosquito net), a
bathroom with a high quality European WC, shower and a
washbasin.
 Solar powered fan and light provide comfort in the
bedroom. There is also a sun bathing deck on boat.
There is a service area at the back where the cook
prepares very delicious traditional Kerala meals using
as much fresh provisions as can be plucked, caught or
bought in the back water. There are 3 crewmembers
including a captain, an engine driver and an
English-speaking cook. They are friendly and while
respecting your privacy. The boats offer the chance to
moor at local island villages, giving the opportunity
to stretch
your legs and go for a cooling swim.
Day-1
Arrival at Kochi.Day At Leisure .(Optional )Evening
Enjoy Sun Set Cruise Or Kathakali Dance(kathakali is a
traditional Arts of Kerala)Overnight stay At Hotel.
Day-2
After Break fast drive to Alleppey(60kms/1.30hrs) to
board in Houseboat. Night stay in houseboat.
Day-3
CHAMPAKULAM-KUMARAKOM. Cast off your boat after
breakfast. Enjoy lush nature, tranquility of local
village life and can capture excellent photos. Time
for walking along backwater typical village.
Understand river life and people's daily activities.
On the way to Kumarakom visit R.Block
kayal(Plantations are cultivating under sea level).
After lunch proceeds to Kumarakom. The Village
situated on the eastern banks of the Lake Vembanadu.
It is famous for watching birds in abundance. In the
evening watch out a different Sunset, which is far
beyond from your expectations. Dinner on board.
Day-4
After Break fast back to Cochin for departure.
